Senior Band Courses and Staff Cadets have an undetermined number of positions. The Squadron holds an internal selection process to select cadets in consultation with the Band Officer (for music courses) and other Staff Members related to the Staff Cadet process. This is done in order to determine which cadets will proceed with their application to be submitted and considered for training at the Regional Level. 742 Squadron ranks the cadets based on the following:

  • rank;
  • cadet training level;
  • previous summer camp experiences;
  • attendance at mandatory activities;
  • participation in optional activities;
  • Band Officer for music course candidates; and
  • Level Officer/Training Officer for Staff Cadet candidates.
